Dance in Education

A one day course for dance practitioners and teachers
 to familiarise themselves with teaching dance in a school setting.

Course Outline

Dance in Education and School Structures – from policy to implementation
 Understanding where Dance contributes to the National Curriculum
Curriculum Matters – language and levels
Teaching and Learning – strategies and practise
Assessment for Learning – composition and performance
The course involves individual, paired and group work with opportunity to view video footage.
There are no dance practical elements to the course.
