Chartist Talks and Drama
Merthyr Tydfil Chartists Partnership will continue to celebrate the Anniversary of the Chartist Parade 170 years ago, with a free event this Saturday, 15th August from 10.30am until 1pm. The day will have talks and discussions by expert historians, plus ‘The Sentiments of August 1839’, a dramatic performance by local theatrical group, Chance Encounters. The free event will again, as with the event in April, take place at the CafĂ© Quarter, Lower High Street, Merthyr Tydfil.
