This revamped customer service one-day training course is a nationally recognised customer care course designed specifically for the requirements of the arts and cultural sector. The course will also be an invaluable refresher for those who have attended a previous customer care course making sure your organisation is up-to-date with the latest thinking in customer care.

The course will be taking place in South Wales on 9th and 10th February.
In recognition of the importance of customer care the Arts Council has provided a subsidy to run this course which is priced at £35 per place.
The course content will cover:
• What we are all like as customers ourselves, what we like and don't like

• Equal Opportunities and treating people as individuals to meet their specific needs
• Listening and questioning techniques
• Awkward customers and complaints: What makes customers awkward, what could be the cause and how
can we deal with them? What sort of complaints do you receive and how are they dealt with?
• Customer care when using the telephone
• Statistics: understanding the economic value of the arts and how good customer care plays a big part in
boosting the figures
• Availability and access of local information for customers
