Dance Intensive’ Auditions


Final Showcase at the National Eisteddfod Blaenau Gwent

Valleys Dance invite young people aged 14 – 25 years old from .... to audition for a place on a four day dance intensive workshop to create a dance piece which will be performed at the Eisteddfod on the 6th August 2010.

Deadline to register: Midday 25th June 2010

Audition Dates:
For dancers from Torfaen, Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly: 3rd July 2010, 10am -1pm, Pontypool Active Living Centre, Torfaen.
For dancers from Bridgend & Rhondda Cynon Taff - 3rd July 2010, 2.30pm - 5.30pm, Ystrad Rhondda Sports Centre, Ystrad.

If selected to take part in the Dance Intensive, you will need to be available on: 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th August 2010 and on the 6th August for the performance at the Eisteddfod.
Rehearsal Venue: Merthyr Tydfil College

Times: Pick up at: 9am – 6pm return each day (including travel times).

Support worker/Chaperone & transport will be provided by your local authority contact.

Contribution to travel/T-Shirts: £10 per head.

The audition panel will consist of guest Choreographer, and representatives from Community Dance Wales and the Valleys Dance Partnership.

Valleys Dance is a partnership aimed at promoting Dance in the Valleys. It is supported by: Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Caerphilly, Bridgend, Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent County Borough Councils.
