Christmas Kids Show
In the run up to Christmas The Pant and Dowlais Boys and Girls Club will be bringing an hilarious family fun performance by The Black Sheep to Merthyr Tydfil. Professor Bumm's Christmas Story Machine comes to Dowlais Engine House on Wednesday 8th December. The comic tale tells the story of the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring except for Professor Ivor Harry Bumm and Doctor Willy P Whee, who are frantically trying to get their Story Machine to work. The mad professors have a festive show full of mayhem, mirth and (possibly) mistletoe. Featuring carol singing, an improvised pantomime, the world's grottiest grotto and an exploding duck. Professor Bumm's Christmas Story Machine won’t be a Silent Night! The performance starts at 1pm, entry is £3 or £2 concessions for OAPs and children. Wild Walk
Come and learn about bio-diversity and local wild plants and food on your door step, while also exercising your body and brushing up on Welsh language skills with the Canolfan a Menter Gymraeg Merthyr Tudful, who will be holding a Wild Plants Walk, through the medium of Welsh this Saturday, 23rd October. The walk will take approximatley two hours, starting from Cefn Coed Community Centre at 10am. Wear appropriate shoes/boots remember that parts of the trip could be muddy. Peter Karrie
Peter Karrie will be performing in concert at the Beaufort Theatre, Ebbw Vale next week on 28th October. Peter will be performing his new 2011 concert with numbers from his new album ’My Funny Old Lovely Old Wales’. Coliseum Theatre Aberdare welcomes Chris Addison from Bafta Award-winning comedy The Thick of It, In The Loop, Skins and Lab Rats is back with a brand new show of his critically acclaimed stand-up tomorrow, Friday, 22nd October.
